Just had a lovely Sunday carvery. Great food and service was superb. Lottie provided genuine service and a lovely ambience to the place. Will definately be back again.

What a gorgeous pub and lovely ambience. Its not only very pretty from the outside but the decor inside is artfully arranged and creates an overall pleasant experience. From walking into the pub to leaving it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. You feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. The staff are friendly and helpful and no request seems to much. Food is prepared fresh and tastes amazing offering a sometimes unique combination of ingredients that work very well together. There is parking available and also a little playground for the kids outside.
Great place to go as a base for visiting the forest of dean's great attractions.The room we had was very nice and spacious we had a great sleep. A disabled room is also available, plenty of car parking spaces.The pub is quite small but very cosy the food was fantastic, there are guest ales you can try.Breakfast is cooked to order with hot drinks, a breakfast bar containing cereals and juices was available.All the staff are very friendly and your made very welcome.
Wonderful meal had today at The George Inn to celebrate friends birthday. Staff very friendly and accommodating for our group of 10, ranging from the age 8 to 98. Thank you to the lovely staff and my compliments to the chef, the food really was very tasty.
